Lip Wax Gone Wrong - HELP!!!

Hi all,

So DH and I are going away for a few days tomorrow - a total surprise for him, and I wanted to look nice - if that's possible 😆

Anyway, I went for my monthly brow and lip wax this morning - except the beautician isn't one I've had before (she started last week). I thought the lip wax was a little more tender than usual but didn't think much of it at the time - hardly the most comfortable experience! I've come home and looked in the mirror to see a patch about the size of a 5p red raw, she's literally taken my skin off.

Obviously this is going to scab and look pretty gross - thanks a bunch - I'm far far from the most stunningly gorgeous woman ever but I'm absolutely gutted.

WWYD and what can I do to minimise the look of it 😥TIA x

I had this last week OP. Soooo annoying. I held an ice cube on it for about an hour! Wet it and get it melting a bit first so it doesn't stick. Annoying but I think it helped. It actually didn't scab over as I thought it would.

Ah ok, i've put some sudocrem on it as soon as i saw it, i'll try an ice cube.

Should I say something to the salon?

Thank you so much xx

I did this to myself and used Savlon and then covered that with Vaseline to seal moisture in. Sorted it a lot quicker than I thought it would.

Yes I would take a pic and send it to the salon.

Thanks all, fingers crossed!!
