Sorry I know this is out of season but I've wanted a shiny black puffer jacket for a couple of years for autumn / winter
Problem is I will be 45 this year. Am.i too old? Please be honest.
I want one like this. What do people think?
Thanks

I'd wear. And I'm a bit older😊

Thank you. I love it but it is quite shiny 😁
Anyone have an ideas how to style it?

I have a long Barbour possibly shinier one and a good few years on you.
I love it and just wear it wherever according to the temperature

Usually, with too big jeans, Airforce Ones and you have to wear it on the hottest day of the year whilst hanging around the shopping centre near MacDonald's with a bunch of 15 year old boys.

Failing that, the mums tend to wear them with skinnies in a light colour, a form fitting t-shirt in pure white, fresh from the packet, heels or more AF1s if they're picking up after football practice, large sunglasses (the phrase 'A fly in a binbag' might give you the idea of the size and shape of the preferably designer diamanté adorned choices), full contour, laminated brows, extra long lashes, square gels about an inch long, deep red or neon for summer and a large tote.

If you want to rock that look and don't have brutally honest teenagers, it's really the only way that suits the style in my opinion - no floaty dresses, converse, dog walking jeans with dubarry/hunters or beige linen; it's got to be full on, no compromising.

@NeverDropYourMooncup
You made me laugh out loud with that description. I'm definitely not that type of mum!!
I'm not really a high maintenence type tbh. I wear makeup but not much and don't even colour my hair.
I do have a long puffer which I wear when it's REALLY cold but I guess this is more for the sort of late autumn chilly but not yet snowy weather.
It was really just the shiny I wasn't sure I could pull off 😆
I might just give it a go though. I don't want to embarrass my kids though!

The aritzia one like you've posted isn't actually as shiney really as in that photo and does dull down apparently (I researched these particular coats last winter!), I ended up getting a matte black long version of this one and I have to say it's the best coat I have ever bought, it's so warm and comfy and fluffy, I could wear a T-shirt under it in the snow and still be warm.
I have slight regrets about not getting the shiney one!

Puffer Coat pram pushers: I call them Michelin® Mummies. (Add obligatory miniature mutt that looks like a rat on steroids).
