Help needed ! I need to take 82 year old DM out shopping /or online for a very posh outfit ...where do I start !

Lovely DM is going to a posh afternoon time occasion.
She wants me to help her with her outfit choice (!! Yeah me ...jeans,trainers,hoodie type !!)

She is size 16, 5ft2/3 " ,stooped with back issues .
So not an upright elegant posture.

Was thinking a dress...but that might not work with her posture ?

If anyone could guide me in what would the right sort of elegance for her I would be grateful.

Are we better to go for the trouser look ?
Oh and obviously...heels will be flat .
So confused as to how to help her .

My grandma and great aunt are fans of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill. So much so in fact that they have often bought the same outfit, albeit in different colours. 😄

I had a similar problem getting my 87 year old mum who's not very mobile a decent outfit for a wedding and I eventually found a lovely outfit in a posh charity shop. It think it was a Jaques Vert. The owner of the shop let me take it for my mum to try it on before paying and then shortened it to fit my mum, for no charge.

I was going to suggest Jacques Vert but looks like they went bust too 😔

My dm, 87 , just got a gorgeous dress and jacket from JL.
The personal shopper did la lot of the running about.
She also went to Shuropody to have her nails cut and bought some lovely smart summer sandals from them to.
