Keeping cool in a wedding dress (August wedding)

I've bought a tea-length wedding dress with a tight corset bodice and long lace sleeves. I'm getting married in early August. I love the style, but now I'm worried that I'm going to roast in sleeves and a corset in summer. It could just as easily be chilly and raining, because this is the north of England, but it's stressing me - I really hate being too hot! I'm thinking of getting a lightweight sleeveless backup just in case. Has anyone else worn a similar dress for a summer wedding and did you feel OK?

I lve in Yorkshire and can count on the fingers of one hand the number of really roasting days we get in August. By all means buy a back up, then you will be covered for either weather eventuality.

I got married in the Caribbean and wore a full meringue! I did buy a couple of back up dresses just in case. I stayed in my big puff of tulle, I did have a hoop though to keep it away from my legs.
Has the reception venue got air con?
Can you ask for a fan to be placed near your table?
