Brown Hair Dye

I'm looking for a brown hair dye to do my roots. The Clairol medium brown is too dark. I've bought L'Oréal natural brown. Has anyone used it or could recommend a medium brown dye that's not too dark. Thanks

I really like Josh Woods in shade 7. It's the lightest brown I think. On my greys it is golden brown and on my naturally mid brown hair it is a slightly brighter mid brown. It's the first box dye which hasn't gone brassy on me. It is super easy to use, doesn't take long at all.

... My only gripe would be the cost and there's not enough in a pack if I wanted to dye all over.

Thanks. I need to cover lots of grey roots so I'd be looking for a medium brown colour
