Hi, Where do you get your yoga tops? I wear lululemon tights and tanks but I can't find any that are both not cropped BUT are fitted (so they don't fall down in a downward dog!)
Where should I look?
thx

Following. That's exactly what I'm after!

applepineapple · 18/06/2022 10:18

Super soft tank tops from Sweaty Betty are my favourites

onemouseplace · 18/06/2022 10:18

The lululemon cool racerback tanks are longline and fitted if they still do them? They are the best tanks I've ever found, for that exact reason!

onemouseplace · 18/06/2022 10:20

These ones, although they have hardly any colour choices. Not the cool racerback short version.

lugeforlife · 18/06/2022 10:49

I was gonna say a 4 year old washed out T-shirt from primark and some baggy bottoms I got for a tenner on Amazon.

Not the thread for me?

melonpan · 18/06/2022 14:06

I find the quality at sweaty betty disappointing. I usually prefer well known brands but was surprised by how many varieties of yoga wear are on amazon for a fraction of the price with many reviews claiming they're as decent as, or better than Lululemon.

I also rate Bamboo clothing, much lovelier than the usual brands, a softer and more 'ballet' focused aesthetic compared to the Subaru-wide-boy vibe of Sweaty Betty Grin

Pandorapitstop · 18/06/2022 14:41

I love Boho Tusk.

Pandorapitstop · 18/06/2022 14:41

Oh, and Eden Ashram for yoga tops.

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 18/06/2022 15:10

@melonpan I am also disappointed in Sweaty Betty, their leggings feel like plastic wrap compared to Lulu lemon being ultra comfortable.

@onemouseplace I agree I have that top in purple and blue. Its great. Don't want white I think the sweat would be obvious....

@Pandorapitstop I'll check that out thank you!

@lugeforlife no problem wearing old clothes for yoga but I'm assuming that you mustn't do many down dogs etc etc..... everything would be on show to the world if you're not wearing something tight

Asquith London have some lovely yoga tops.

BrownTableMat · 18/06/2022 18:36

I just wear normal t shirts in a technical fabric, same as I do for running. I think mine are from Amazon. They’re fitted, I suppose, but nowhere near skin tight and they come down to just below my hips. Never had a problem with doing down dog or any other posture including inversions in them, they don’t go anywhere!

doadeer · 18/06/2022 18:43

I wear a mix of crop tops, sweaty Betty tops or I have a yoga vest etsy shop so obviously I wear lots of my own!

JessHford · 22/07/2022 09:03

I love Asquiths stuff, I came across them on Chief and Turtles website. I got one of their tops the fabric is super soft.

Loiste · 22/07/2022 09:07

Bamboo clothing?

BAM

TheMess · 22/07/2022 09:10

Bamboo do a great yoga top that's elasticated/ruched (in a good way) around the hips so it doesn't fall down when you're inverted.

Shellingbynight · 22/07/2022 09:29

I agree with the posts above who said BAM. Lovely quality, I have a couple of tops from them, and yoga pants.

I used to buy Sweaty Betty and still have some 10 year old vest tops which are good as new, quality used to be great but nowadays is variable.

ArabeI · 22/07/2022 09:42

I've never heard of Bamboo. I must have a look.

Though I like Sweaty Betty and often wear some of their clothing for ballet classes and as warm up layers. I have some nice fitted, cropped wrap tops with long sleeves, for example.

For yoga I have a few Sweaty Betty Dharana tops, in different colours as a top layer. I also wear the cropped tanks (not what you want!), and had to size down in a full length type so that it was more fitted but rarely wear that. I do also like the SB fitted vests with the string straps and they're full length.

Astrabees · 22/07/2022 11:05

I've been doing yoga for over 20 years and fir me Sweaty Betty is most comfortable. The tights stay up, not rolling down at the top and are nice and soft to touch. I wear the athlete tops, they are light and comfortable and don't ride up. I've also got their bras in contrasting and matching colours. If it is a bit cold I'll start out with my lovely Crumpet Cashmere tie dyed hoodie over the top ( good for relaxation at the end too). I've got a Me +Em ballet styled top that I sometimes put on if it is a very gentle class, not sportswear but very comfortable. In my class not many people wear anything other than black tights and a T shirt, though there are a couple that come in their pyjamas.

LoobyDop · 22/07/2022 13:25

I wear a BAM crop top, and then a short or long sleeved cotton or bamboo tshirt on top i& it’s colder. And M&S cropped harem pants on the bottom. Prefer natural fibres though because I usually do yoga after running so need the absorption and warmth. And I prefer fitted tops because I find it annoying when clothes flop over my face in downward dog.

helenabonhamfarter · 23/07/2022 11:24

I second BAM

I wear SB leggings because they seem to be properly squat proof and Primark £4 cotton/Lycra t shirts. They are a great fit, long enough not to ride up and wash beautifully.

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 03/09/2024 16:54

for all the BAM voters are their leggins as good a quality as lulu?
