Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one please?

The banana one from B&M or savers. I absolutely love it, better than loads of more expensive ones.

Is that the one in the square bottle? £1?

Herbal Essence from £1 shop. I really liked it. it was a green bottle and said no sulfates etc on label

Currently using a colour-safe expensive (for me at least) branded one from high street chemist chain and it's not great. Would bin it apart from cost and principle

HOTHotPeppers · 18/06/2022 14:31

I second the Herbal Essences one. I think it may be strawberry and mint.

KirstenBlest · 18/06/2022 14:42

I think it was Dazzling shine. It's not sulfate-free but is 0% colourants, 0% paraffin, 0% silicones

JamesBlond · 18/06/2022 14:53

What’s your actual price range?

OGX are good, Palmers is okay.

TooHotTooGreedy · 18/06/2022 14:56

Faith in nature are paraben and SLS free, there are often offers on & are around £5 each

MayMi · 18/06/2022 14:57

I recommend-

Maui Moisture
Shea Moisture

Also - Bondi Sands has a nice free-from coconut body wash which is great even if you're not tanning.

Yep, brilliant stuff, the conditioner is silicone and paraben free too

Eco warriors soap bars.

They are incredible. Ditch the plastic bottle

TheGirlWhoLived · 19/06/2022 08:07

I love OGX, I use the coconut one and it makes my hair super silky and manageable. I have highlighted blonder naturally frizzy/curly and scalp psoriasis (aggravated by SLS and parabens) and this doesn’t itch. Also you can usually get it on offer for £4 or £3.50 at either Tesco, boots, Superdrug or Amazon

cannaethink · 19/06/2022 10:22

I use Maui (the blue one) and a herbal essences bio renew one. The Maui is always on offer somewhere, I never pay full price.
DC use Palmers coconut and it’s fine for them but I don’t like it for my hair.

Having paid a lot over the years for salon/beauty website sulphate and silicone free stuff for DD, the best we've ever had are:
The Herbal Essence range mentioned above- the aloe and avocado one is great for dry hair, DD likes the coconut range too.
Garnier Hair Food- the papaya one is amazing. Currently half price almost everywhere.

Thanks, I’m not too keen on banana fragrance. Is their strawberry version also sulfate free?
