Closed toe work sandal

Hi all I'm trying to find a closed toe sandal for work. It's for an interview next week. Most of my smart shoes are more winter ones, and whilst I have some lovely smart sandals they all have open toe which I'm not sure looks professional enough for an interview.

Has anyone found this holy grail shoe?

I don't know what your line of work is, but I'd err on the side of formality and not wear a sandal.

I have some El naturalista sandals with a closed toe that I've worn for interviews before but my industry is not super formal

Heel or flat?

Maybe a d'orsay or sling back do there is a closed toe but still lots of air getting to your feet!!!!!!!

@Wallabyone I'm in tech so it's way less formal, more like smart casual. Women wear open toe wedges etc. but it's an interview so need something more formal.

@frogswimming heel or wedge preferably as I'm quite short (but formidable )

I got these last month & I like them. They're a formal loafer. Lots of colours but I got the tan ones.

Open-toes sandals are not ''professional''? seriously?

As a manager I conduct interviews all the time, including recruiting web/IT staff and frankly their toes being on display or not is the least of my concerns...

@Whitehorsegirl I wear open toe all the time too, but I'm senior and meeting a VP for an interview so I don't think I want to have my toes out.

How about a backless loafer? I feel weird having my toes out at work and have been wearing backless loafers in the office (I have tan and black pairs).
