Barrettes for grown ups

Where can I buy barrettes for adults? Discreet, good quality ones. I would love to put something in my hair that isn't an elastic band. The last time I paid £20 for a barrette the top was fancy but the metal clip was the same rubbish I could get from the market for £2 and it broke too quickly.
