What is the quality like?
Do they come up small?

M&S sell it so you could see what their reviews say? I suspect they come up small as they have a plus size range.

fyn · 17/06/2022 09:25

I would only get the cotton dresses, the viscose ones I’ve got have gone bobbly immediately. The cotton ones are lovely quality though! I don’t think they come up small at all!

PostPopper · 17/06/2022 13:27

I’ve recently used them for the first time and would not recommend at all.
I ordered three dresses, only two came.
I returned both and am still waiting for a refund three weeks later.

If M&S or John Lewis have the dress you’re looking at, I’d order through them as their customer service is a lot better.

Fuckingfuckssake · 17/06/2022 13:33

Also had terrible customer service experience, loved all the dresses though, have a look at their Trust Pilot reviews, I'd buy from M&S.

Anytimeiseeit · 17/06/2022 14:57

I have a lovely viscose dress from them, sizing fine but it shrank at least a size when I washed it, and I washed it properly

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 17/06/2022 15:04

I bought a roll neck jumper from eBay and it’s lovely. I’m quite large of nork so often struggle with sizing and it’s a great fit.

mads2750 · 17/06/2022 15:33

I got some of their dresses from Next in a size 16 and they were too small for me, but I'm usually a 16-18 so could just be my frame.

dolphinsarentcommon · 17/06/2022 17:50

Bought one via M&S and it's equivalent to their size 10.

GoingOnce · 17/06/2022 22:34

Like the previous poster, I had a viscose dress that shrank considerably when I washed it, despite washing very carefully and drying naturally.

SummerPuddings · 19/06/2022 19:21

Hmm that's disappointing. Thanks for the replies. I keep seeing their stuff & it looks nice. But I do wonder about sizing.

I discovered this morning that a lovely dress I got from Nobody's child and washed for the first time has shrunk massively.
I thought I'd ballooned a couple of stone since last weekend- a button even popped off the bust trying to get it on Confused

It’s so frustrating isn’t it! I buy a lot of viscose and have literally never had shrinking before but this nobody’s child dress shrank at least one size after washing. I couldn’t wear it again. Should have taken it back but I didn’t

dolphinsarentcommon · 19/06/2022 19:43

I've bought one for a party next weekend and now I think it might be the only time I get to wear it!

schoolsoutforever · 19/06/2022 19:47

I have a few dresses. I would say spot on size 10 and 12. I like them. Fabric varies a bit but I like the style and cut. Flatters my figure (small breasted, slightly Apple or pear. Some of the materials are nicer, some more crinkley but because they suit me in the shape, I’m prepared to forgive that.

schoolsoutforever · 19/06/2022 19:48

i haven’t noticed huge shrinkage either.

Highlyquestionablehoumous · 19/06/2022 19:49

I have a few things from Nobodys Child. One of the items, a jumpsuit, has definitely shrunk (and I'm pretty sure it's that and not that I have put weight on!) but the other items haven't, despite all being viscose.

They do come up small, particularly the dresses and jumpsuits which button up the front. The best fitting dress I have from there is my normal size but with a bit of elasticated shirring at the back.

VaulterTech · 19/06/2022 20:02

I have two dresses from their and found them to wash well (I’m washing on 30 generally) and fit true to size. Interesting to read the mixed reviews. I get loads of compliments on them!

VaulterTech · 19/06/2022 20:03

(Urgh, from there)

fassnk · 19/06/2022 20:04

I have a hoodie that is true to size and washes well. Not sure about dresses though!

Blinky21 · 19/06/2022 20:06

The dresses I ordered were both really cheap fabric so sent them back

Supersimkin2 · 19/06/2022 20:08

If it’s that faintly crinkly viscose it always will shrink unless you iron it. Size up, no iron, looks more expensive.

I love NC cos I’ve never had a reject (order from m and s online) and the fit’s fine these days cos I like relaxed styles.

Anytimeiseeit · 19/06/2022 20:13

Mine wasn’t crinkly viscose, it was that really nice soft fabric that feels like a very soft cotton. Have had loads of things with that kind of viscose before with no problems. I def wouldn’t but from NC again in the same fabric

Nglanville · 01/08/2024 17:18

Does clothing from "Nobodys Child" come up big or small?

VaulterTech · 01/08/2024 18:36

True to size I think
