I like them on the model but not sure if it would look frumpy on normal, casual, no make up, slightly short, me?

If not, what would you suggest for those days where its too hot for trousers but not practical to wear a dress/skirt as I'm running after two small children?

Shorts

Do you have long legs? I think this kind of trousers always makes legs look shorter, so as mine are already short, I sniff them

I think the high waist makes her look all legs short torso. I think high waist looks great on long torsos. I would wear a fitted top as there is too much fabric around with the loose shit and the tie around the waist.

I'm 5'2" and find crops of this length make me look v dumpy. I am dumpy tbf but don't need it exaggerating!

I'd either go for a lightweight chambray knee length skirt (if I wanted the denim 'look'), or really light floaty wide leg trousers. Appreciate you don't want a skirt/dress but culottes as shorts can work well - just on the knee with a fitted top / vest top is great (I try to avoid volume on top if I'm wearing floatier bottoms)

I'm not a fan of cropped trousers - whatever your height. i just think they give you cropped legs.
Either long and loose, or shorts.

I think ankle-length trousers are much more flattering on most people and temperature-wise I doubt there’s much difference. I’d go for loose wide leg trousers or shorts. Or just wear a floaty skirt/dress - my life is mostly spent chasing after a three year old and I find the midi length cool but practical.

They’re fine. Don’t overthink this. It fits the job you need them do, you like them. Buy them

I really love them but my legs are just average length and they would make me look stumpy.
