To what occasion would you wear this?

On holiday in Spain recently, I bought this item of clothing in Zara. I thought it’d be a cute summer’s day dress. However, I’ve just put it in and thought it looks more like a beach cover-up. If I wear it now, I’ll look like I’m lost and belong by the pool (I wish I was, but certainly am not right now).
Help me out!

Unless it’s see-through it’s a great summer dress. Gold accessories would look great!

I have to say, holidays pull my shopping compass completely out of true. I have cases full of things which will only look right on a beach/cruise/etc.

Definitely a dress to walk down to the beach or to seat at the beach bar while sipping a drink

Is it translucent/transparent? If not I'd wear with converse or sandals for the day. I have loads of hot summer day dresses.

It'll be fine with trainers or sandals for casual dressing, unless it's totally see through.
