Help me style this skirt (or tell me to take it back!)

Am always a sucker for cotton, plus it's got pockets, so I bought this today. The one in the link is petite but I'm not (5'8, size 10). It does add a bit of bulk to my hips but as a pear I might as well embrace it! What would you wear it with for everyday, non work wear?

It also reminds me a lot of a skirt I had in ca 2005 - it it really dated (or am I so ancient that fashion has come.full circle??!)

I'd copy what the model is wearing - what little can be seen of it. Tuck in a fairly tailored t-shirt top, probably better if the colour doesn't contrast too much so that it elongates your shape, not' cutting you in half' as white would - the petite model can obviously get away with this but many of us wouldn't.
