What to look for in NYC??

I'll be heading to NYC for a break soon and I was looking for suggestions on the things to buy there. I've put this in S&B because I think it's probably best suited to this topic.

I don't tend to wear loads of makeup but if there was one or two things that you would recommend that would be cheaper to buy there than here (UK & Ireland), that would be appreciated.

Any particular stores that you'd visit?

Nordstrom Rack always has good deals. Brooklyn Flea in DUMBO at the weekend for vintage clothes and great food. Sephora has the niche brands but you can buy most in the UK now. I bought Milk makeup from NY six years ago but it's easily available now.
