Eyeliner tricks

I know that eyeliner is now very passé according to MN but I always think I look slightly better with just a little to open the eye but the holy grail of which one and how to apply it so it doesn't smudge under my eyes by 9.30am has always eluded me.

I often see some women with perfectly applied eyeliner on the bottom lash which never moves and always looks so natural. Where are they buying this from? What's the secret?

Tight lining was a game changer for me

I've read about this but find it confusing, is this where I'm supposed to do it between the lashes?

Is tight lining ok with contact lenses?

I've woken this morning very excited to try this tight lining!

Yeah it's problematic with contacts as the oils just end up as a film across the eye with all the associated germ issues.

I wear contact lenses and it’s never been an issue for me

I don't wear eyeliner on the bottom lash, just tightline the top and wear mascara. It sort of travels down to the bottom lash in some sorcery way and it places itself perfectly. Way better than if I applied it to the bottom lash. It doesn't look smudged and travel anywhere else except to where it needs to. It's truly magic. Wish I'd started doing this method years ago.

Saying that, I'm early 50s so I have looser skin around eyes than I used to.
