I've mentally assigned £200 to a bag.

Nothing patterned. Nice leather. Mid sized, shoulder not cross body.

I know I'm not in investment piece territory but I want to use it every day. Preferably tan leather.

What do you recommend?

Not designer but I have a lovely bag from Massimo Dutti which is excellent quality, they have some gorgeous bags in the sale right now.

100% agree. I have a really old leather one from them and it still looks fine and dandy!

Oh yes. I forgot the higher end Zara retailer. I like their bags too!

Yes! I looked at a couple of nice Coach but they weren't the right colours.

I actually looked in Zara yesterday. Was surprised how nice they were.

That's a lovely handbag and the colour's great too. I love the ones I can see myself wearing today or in 20 years' time, those are the ones worth investing in IMHO.
P.S. If you're ever in northern Portugal there's a fab Carolina Herrera outlet shop. Great handbags and shoes!
