Flat sandals with a maxi for wedding?

We're attending a wedding next Friday. I've got a maxi dress and matching jacket to wear, I bought wedge sandals to go with it. I've been wearing them round the house to break them in but they're still not comfy (I'm always in flat shoes normally.)
I bought flat silver glitzy sandals today, would these be acceptable to wear with a maxi or will I look a mess?

I'm sure they'll be fine. When you consider the number of women who end up on the dance floor barefoot!

Wear what you're comfortable in. I doubt whether many people will notice what you're wearing on your feet, if you're in a maxi dress.

Was at a wedding at the weekend and it was a dead heat between full on heels, wedges and sparkly flats, so you'll be absolutely fine.
The dress I wore really needed heels and I couldn't find anything else that I liked to wear, but I packed some ballet flats for dancing!
