Looking for a backpack for days out.

I’d like something that doesn’t look like I’m off to the office or off to climb a mountain.

A medium sized backpack with nice deep bottle pockets (ones on the inside would be great), not too heavy. For wearing to the zoo and on bike rides etc.

I’ve even been looking at nappy bags but can’t find exactly what I’m looking for.

Are you looking for something like the first option or the second? (I hope the links work)

Lookitsmeagain I really like that second option! It might be just a bit TOO big though. I’d need to actually measure compared to some bags I have.

If I’m being REALLY picky I’d like the bottle pockets (on the outside) to be elasticated or drawstring or something to secure bottles.

I love a Roka rucksack. Great zips. I must be quite heavy handed because it is always the zips that go first on my bags. But these have big solid chunky buggers

North Face backpacks are indestructible and have proper water bottle holders

I thank that M&S one is a winner! Thank you! It’s similar to one I have already but the bottle pockets are too shallow.

The bottle pockets are really secure and fairly deep. Firm elastic round. Bottle doesn’t fall out even if the back is upside down ! Really good quality x

This is a small Frugi metal water bottle in side pocket.

I brought one similar to that m&s one from accessorize! I also use it as a nappy bag as it has an extra compartment.

Have a look at Bago on amazon. I have a small day sack which is great, very lightweight but sturdy, good pockets, lots of colours
