Rimmel eye liner - how to sharpen?

Rimmel scandaleyes, it look like plastic but does sharpen but the eyeliner crumbles then.

Am I missing a trick?

You're not missing a trick. I had the same issue. It looks like it shouldn't sharpen but it does, but yes the eyeliner crumbles really easily and you do lose loads. Some seem worse than others, I had a lip pencil of theirs which was the same. And looking on lots of website reviews this is a common problem. It's kind of stopped me buying them tbh.

Have you tried putting it in the freezer overnight then sharpening it? That's what I do with all my pencils.

Probably not helpful at all but I found my Dior pencil sharpener could sharpen my Scandaleyes pencils no problem! (It was a gift with purchase handed down from my mum, they probably cost a fortune!)

Otherwise the freezer tip is worth trying.
