Armani foundation

After seeing lots of recommendations for it on here, I'd like to give it a go as seems what I'm looking for, but how on earth do I colour match?
I tried Findation but I only know my true colour in No7 (Warm Ivory) and it didn't give me a match. I have 4.5 Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush but think it's a bit too light.

Where are you? Any chance you could get to one of their beauty counters? I find they are really helpful.

I can't find a local stockist unfortunately! Very frustrating as I'd really like to try it!

It’s amazing! I think I read somewhere that the .5 is for olive tones and the round numbers for pinker tones.

I wear 4.5 and it blends well, I’m currently on the darker of the two bb cream shades I use but the Armani I just keep in a 4.5 all year round.

Could you try an online consultation? Worth asking if they would send a sample as they would always give them out in store.

I’m a massive fan of the illuminous silk but wouldn’t want to buy foundation blind.

People on eBay sell little samples, if you don’t mind dropping a couple of quid. I like a warm base and have a light to medium skin tone, and I go for 2 (winter) and 3.5 (summer). I lean more towards the 3.5. If you happen to be in North Yorkshire (make sense as you said there were no stockists) then you can test mine.

I've actually been able to order from Look Fantastic (discount code too so it was £36) and they are sending a free sample of the shade and do free returns if it's wrong. I have my fingers crossed.

It's arrived and it's the right colour! I'm so pleased. Will test it properly tomorrow.

@CyrilBasket how did you get with this foundation? I’m currently trying to find my holy grail! I’ve got combination skin but double wear is no use for me as I get older.

@WeeM I like it! It's lightweight and doesn't set in my lines in the way that double wear does nowadays. A little goes a long way and it seems to last all day (I do use setting spray so not sure how much that helps!)
Colour was a good match too and I was able to try that from the little sample that came from Look Fantastic before committing.

It's 5ml and in a little bottle too unlike the strips you usually get so plenty to test. I didn't know until the actual bottle was in my basket.

I messaged them but they don’t have any samples just now 🤦🏽‍♀️, will maybe have a look on eBay.

Have you tried adding it to your basket? (Full size). I didn't know there were samples, it added it to the basket at the same time!
