Can grown out bleach blonde be turned into a balayage?

Good afternoon.

I'm currently growing my hair out.
Think Miley Cyrus in the Malibu video (picture attached).
I really want a more natural blonde balayage (also attached pictures).
Would I need to grow all my hair, cut off the blonde and then have my baylayage done?
Or, by some miracle, could I incorporate the blonde into a baylayage and keep some of my length?

I know this is usually a question for a hairdresser, but I'm just getting some opinions before I get too excited 😊

Yes of course you can.

Just growing it out will turn it into balayage.

A hair dress can just hasten the process by dragging the roots longer, and toning it to ensure you're the same reflect all over (e.g cool/warm)

Yes just ask for a root stretch and the hairdresser will take the colour as far down as you want it and blend it in so it looks like it's intentional.

Yes, I’ve had this done. My hair was damaged from bleaching so I’ve been having baylayage done for about 6 months now. I had a darker colour on the roots that is pulled down, then a toner.
