Suncream that isn’t Biore watery essence

…because that’s now sticky, perfumed, and I’m sitting here with a pretty red sunburn!

Help me, oh S&B, what should I swap to? I used to like this one, and it used to work better too. I use Altruist (also a MN recommendation) for arms etc and for the children but I want a really light textured one for my face to keep in my bag, that doesn’t make me sticky or give me spots.

Garnier spf50 facial one.
Love it.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 11/06/2022 20:18

La Roche posay fluid

pumpkinmash · 11/06/2022 20:27

I use altruist on my face. It's the only one I can bear, and doesn't turn me into a hot sweaty sticky mess like the others.

@PAFMO this one? There seem to be lots of kinds

Garnier SPF 30 is good

Lndnmummy · 11/06/2022 21:09

I use ultasun face spf 30

AmbushedByCake1 · 11/06/2022 21:58

Clinique city block. So many products aggravate my acne but not this one

Roundaboot · 11/06/2022 22:07

I like the Eucerin anti-pigment one under make up and then I keep an Ambre Solaire spray in my handbag for top ups as it can be used over make up (I find it leaves a very slight white powdery cast but it's not too noticeable and the convenience more than makes up for it)

totallybonafido · 11/06/2022 22:10

La roche posay anthelios, it's the only one that doesn't make me break out

RosieCockle · 11/06/2022 22:26

Ultra Violette Screen Queen. Bought some a few weeks ago and I love it. Not the same consistency as the biore at all. That's like a lotion. This is almost watery, but not quite. Make up goes well on top. It's Aussie so spf 50.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 11/06/2022 22:35

The Body Shop Skin Defence spf 50 is lovely and bogof at the moment

On a budget - NIVEA UV Face Shine Control

No budget - La Roche-Posay Anthelios

I've swapped from Biore (too difficult to get the genuine product now) to Thank you Farmer after a recommendation on here. I'm impressed so far and that's included a trip to Italy. I also have the Evy face mousse for running. I burn very easily and have sensitive skin and both of these have been great.

This is what I bought and this one

WhereAreWeNow · 12/06/2022 08:06

I've got a Vichy one which comes in a small pump bottle and is spf50 and is a lovely lightweight texture like the Biore one.

Mercurial123 · 12/06/2022 08:36

Ultrasun or Thank you Farmer water sun cream SPF50.

stevalnamechanger · 12/06/2022 08:46

Thank you farmer !

Did you apply enough?

The Garnier spf50 face mist. Can be used over makeup so reapplying is a cinch. I keep a bottle in every handbag!

This is inadequate. Spray spf contains a lot of propellant rather than spf so it's very difficult to apply the correct dose

MeOnSea · 12/06/2022 08:48

I really like this one, but Eucerin do quite a few sunscreens for the face, depending on your needs www.boots.com/eucerin-sun-face-fluid-spf-50-50ml-10171022

Ameanstreakamilewide · 12/06/2022 10:18

The once a day stuff, I can't remember what it's called.

P something?

uggmum · 12/06/2022 10:21

I have just bought a Nuxe face suncream from M&S and it's lovely.

My other 'go to' brands are La Roche Posey and Avene.

I was going to recommend this one. I don't like the body shop products generally but this one is brilliant
