Here it is:

I am late 40s and knackered although I do make an effort to dress well and do hair, makeup etc. Clinging on to being size 12 although may need to concede and buy 14. Freakishly tall.

All work colleagues are half my age. They dress for nights out by buying a large haul from ASOS with a view to returning anything they don't want. They are pretty and teeny weeny.

A long standing staff member is leaving. There is an evening meal at a very traditional family-run Spanish restaurant and then on for drinks. I've already said I won't be going on afterwards and will be driving (not being a misery - need to get back for DC). Oh, and weather forecast to be pretty warm.

What in the name of God do I wear for this? Prepared even to buy something but what???

Wear a great dress! Fabienne Chapot and Sezane are worth checking out. A fab summery dress and sandals will take you through the evening and you’ll be able to relax and enjoy yourself. 😀

Do you have bigger boobs than them? Must do if they are teeny.
Flaunt them assets.

Inesyoucantbelieveawordshesays · 11/06/2022 17:44

Thank you all.
Looking for some sort of dress although drawing a bit of a blank as nobody needs a slightly overweight 6ft 40-odd year old milkmaid, now do they?

Ooh I tried this on last week and loved it!
46, size 16 and 5ft 6" if that helps 😂

The clincher for me - it has pockets!

Inesyoucantbelieveawordshesays · 11/06/2022 17:55

I might need to try it on - normally go for more tailored looks so it's a step into the unknown!

You'd look amazing in a jump suit.
I saw a great one in Mint Velvet today, cooking dinner atm but I'll link after.

Inesyoucantbelieveawordshesays · 11/06/2022 18:14

I do love a jumpsuit.

Ah sorry I got confused, I thought it was a jumpsuit in MV but it was actually a dress in Phase Eight https://www.phase-eight.com/product/yasse-linen-wrap-dress-220971693.html#cgid=new-dresses&is=false&sz=60&start=0&isSecondPage=false&pid=220971693&pos=43
But if you could find a good jumpsuit that would probably be even better StarGrin

I am v tall too, I would wear something like this in that scenario with flat sandals and wear with trainers for a daytime look.
