Jeans again: nothing that hugs my belly?

I genuinely think I'm clueless with jeans here so need advice. Are there flattering styles which don't hug the belly or do I need to go get much bigger sizes.

I'm a size 16 hips but my general shape is more hourglass. I bought some slim mom jeans from Sosander to try and they seem to make me look even more massive as they are high waisted. I don't want jeggings, I want something low waisted but slightly fitted, flared or straight cut which I can wear with Converse ie no heels. Do these exist??

Hush boyfriend jeans are a great cut on me. They look cool rolled up with flats. They are straight cut. Sizing is generous, I sized down and they are still loose and slouchy.

I tend to find high waisted styles make me look bigger, the waist just seems to make me protrude and isn’t comfortable either. We are all different though as some people love high waisted and feel they hold everything in.

I just got some nice low waisted skinnies from Esprit and they also do a low rise straight cut (which I’ve had a while) and the mid rise slim jeans from Next. There is fortunately more choice of rises around with the 90s revival.

@TheOGCCL I just think high waisted seem to cling to my belly but I'm not sure what the alternative is.
