What jeans should I get in my new wardrobe??

Trying to create a new wardrobe.

im 41, 5ft 10in and a size 14.

I live in skinny jeans but my son tells me they’re “out” now and in all honesty, they’re not exactly comfortable.

i bought some paperbag jeans which whilst comfortable, look like clown trousers on me.

I just want something comfortable but not frumpy! I’ve got some “slim” jeans but they look frumpy 😭 please help

It kind of depends on your build and preference since in my view any jeans style goes these days. I wear jeans every day and love them. I have tried switching up from skinnies and have some slim and straight ones but they don't flatter me the way skinnies do. I have very slim legs and generally a small frame so the other styles make me look bigger and make me feel a bit frumpier, they are also not as smart so in my mind not as versatile either. But it's nice to wear different styles.

I think it's partly about changing your eye since skinnies have been on fashion for so long that other styles can both look and feel baggy.

I have many pairs and I honestly have never loved any pairs of jeans as much!

TheOGCCL, you're spot on, I'm 5ft2 and trying to find a different style from skinnies which I love, but anything wide leg makes me look huge, I did get a pair of m&s senners, which are ok but not a lot wider then skinnies, I've been on ebay and brought 3 pairs of my favourite jeans from 1990s oasis scarlet they fit just like a skinnie on bum and thighs with a small boot cut love them.

I bought a pair of ‘mom’ jeans from River Island, which I never shop in. Bloody love them.

Funnily enough I’ve just ordered a pair from River Island!

Marks and Spencer Sienna jeans. Straight cut, super flattering, decent bit of stretch. I have them in about 4 different colours!

I wear Levi’s bootcut. I am short and slim/ slight frame. I think they flatter. Also love Hush jeans.
