I bought a body scrub earlier, nothing fancy - a sanctuary one from Superdrug...it was £6! I'd already walked out of boots because it was £7. £7!! Has it always been that much?? Only just dawned on me how expensive that is.

The one in the glass jar has always been more expensive. They’re usually 3 for 2 in Boots though.

I don't think £6 is expensive for a scrub. They last ages.

I am a glutton for beauty products though.

£6 for a big tub of body scrub is quite reasonable but, still, I always thought body scrubs are expensive and usually come across the ones between £8-£15 which feels expensive for this type of product.
And I don't always like the fragrance in mist of these.

A few years ago, I started using sugar and oil.
A light oil of your choice (almond for example) or any oil would do, even vegetable cooking oil. Although I prefer particular scents from massage oils, Bleu Marine (discovered on Amazon) do some lovely ones but they are not exactly cheap do this is the 'treats' category although they last aages for the purpose here.
Take some sugar in the shower (I use a plastic cup with about 4-5 tbsp).
After you wash, you put sugar in one hand then pour some oil on too, not lots but enough to coat the sugar.
Then use as a body scrub. Repeat until you did the entire body.
It also leaves skin soft.

I love the Rituals scrubs but they have gone up ££ recently. They used to be quite affordable but can't justify the price now 😥

TK Maxx had loads of Sanctuary products when I was last in there and Sainsbury's often has them on offer too!

Yeah they've always been expensive though?
