I've worn dark blue Toms almost as a neutral shoe (I wear a lot of blue...) for the last eight years. My current pair have holes in the toes and need replacing, and I don't want to get into a shoe rut by replacing them with the same again. Can anyone suggest a good alternative that will go with lots of things, from jeans to Lucy & Yaks to dresses?
So far, my thinking has been either dark red Toms or a patterned pair with lots of different but coordinating colours on them. I'm open to other brands/styles as long as they're not clumpy - which rules out Converse and Vans (soles too deep; also, I don't like the slimline Converse, even the slip on ones). I'm not opposed to Superga.
OR... do I go for something totally different? I've already got tan leather boat shoes and more pairs of sandals than I can count. I've got brogues in both black and tan. I've got New Balance trainers in silver and in mint green. I've got Converse (high top) in black, tan leather, and a sort of oxblood colour. I've got black Keds (and black Toms!). Help me!
