If you live in Surrey or Hampshire where do you go clothes shopping?

My nearest town is Guildford but I’ve noticesd since Covid lockdown so many of the shops have gone. Every time I go there now i find it hard to find anything I like & come back empty handed. I’m 48 and really unsure where to shop now for my changing body.
If you live in this area where is good to shop now?

3 hours minimum parking in Guildford!?!?! That seems a rubbish idea!

Ooh glad to find this thread, am looking to move down south and was thinking about Surrey!

Kingston here too. But also a suggestion to book a personal shopping appointment in John Lewis. It's free, feels a bit special, and the people they have are really good in my experience at showing you what might suit you and getting you to try new things. I've done it a few times over the years and always think I should do it more often.

I find even if the shops are there the stock won't be. I made a trip to Kings Road this week and returned empty handed as the shops had so little in stock. Boden was the worst. I asked for 3 separate items I'd seen online and was told they could only order them And they didn't have a single item from the petite range so I couldn't even try something random on to see if the proportions were right for me. Same with the tall range. So that was a wasted trip. I ordered all the things I wanted online and returned them all this morning because even the petite things were about 5 inches too long.

it wasn't just Boden either. Same story in Ghost and Peter Jones. I gave up and came home. And M&S are shockers for it.

I didn't realise Fat Face had closed in Guildford...

The one in Farnham is still open - they also have Mint Velvet, Jigsaw, White Stuff, Whistles, Joules & Oliver Bonas.

So not loads but lovely little town for a mooch
