Are DM chunky sandals still fashionable?

I have seen some chunky sandals a bit like DM's. They are the Timberland Ray City. Is this style still fashionable or am I year behind?

They are a lot of money for me, so I will need to wear them for a couple of summers.

They are not my cup of tea, but if you like them, buy them.

I think they're great and not dated, and should be good quality, and will probably last for years

I've only noticed them for the first time, when out and about, this year.

M&S is worth a look for this type of sandal. Although it is worth reading the reviews with regard to sizing. They do tend to have a wide fit and I have tended to go down at least a half size. I have had no trouble breaking them in, unlike the DM alternatives which are £££
