Laser hair removal on legs!

Wednesdayafternoon · 09/06/2022 06:14

Has anyone had it before?
I seriously contemplating it. Shaving my legs really gets me down and with having mild pcos my leg hair grows really quickly so even an improvement would be life changing!
I'm coming to the end of BF journey although not sure when it will completely end but all my periods are back on track. She said I may experience som hair regrow the when I stop due to hormones which is fine with me I guess I'll just get a top up!
Just wondering how others felt laser hair removal went?

Had it done years ago but not in the UK.

You’ll have to look into it carefully though,
not just for safety, but because not all treatments are as efficient.

my Initial treatments didn’t make much of a difference, I think she was using a very weak laser.

I changed to another clinic and it started working right away.

My sister had to keep going back for months (different place from mine). Thankfully it was a deal where she paid up to a point and from then on, it was free until the hair totally disappeared. They told her her case was quite unusual (otherwise they wouldn’t offer that deal).

Im thrilled with it and the treatments didn’t hurt either, just a little pricking on certain more sensitive areas (like calves and bikini area).

Thank you! So what questions do I need to ask about the laser?

I would ask the type and then go off and look online.

I can’t remember the details, but I know there are different ones.

it also depends how dark/thick your hair is as well.

and really, have a proper consultation about how many sessions and how far apart, etc

do they guarantee results?

I also remember that the first one didn’t tell me I could shave before the appointment and that took a long time for her to do.

Hopefully someone will come along here and maybe recommend someone to you.

I've had it and it is amazing. I would call it life changing but that's because I spent so many hours waxing, epilating, shaving etc.

There are many different kinds of laser and you really need to research. The really good ones are hugely powerful and give v different results.

Also you need 6-8 sessions so anyone who tells you it will be done in 2 or 3 is lying. It is expensive and a bit painful but I'd totally recommend.

So she's just told me she uses smart diode.
I've googled and it looks like that one is more uncomfortable but the most effective! I'm not sure what else to ask 😳
Definitely life changing! I absolutely hate shaving my legs, it drives me crazy and really irritates my excma!!
