Hello, I've got a wedding coming up and would really like to get my make up done at a counter (in exchange for buying some products!).

Does anyone have any recommendations about where I should go? I used to go to Debenhams but obv can't do that anymore. I'm in Surrey.

Thank you

I'm not sure what would be near you - Surrey is big- but Bobbi Brown of Mac Counters are usually pretty good - any John Lewis or Fenwicks near your location ?

MAC or Charlotte Tilsbury

If it's a special occasion I'd go to Bobbi Brown because they rock the smokey eye in my opinion, Dior's good too but I prefer BB tbh. I've heard good things about Charlotte Tilbury too but I haven't tried it in person so can't comment. I'd go to a big department store where people will likely have more experience if I were you. Isn't there a John Lewis anywhere near you?
Back in the day I used to go to Debenhams too, it's a pity they're gone!

John lewis beauty bar

I went to Space NK and they made me look like a stereotypical "old lady" with caked-on foundation and coral lipstick. I think if you have a normal face (not perfectly peachy 17-year-old poreless symmetry) they don't know how to treat you! I cried on the way home.
