Help I need a dress!

So I have a wedding coming up and have tried on a pre-covid dress or two but they don’t really cut it as they are more autumn/winter colours. I am a size 16 and short and only really wear dresses to weddings. I’m beginning to panic as I can’t even remember the last time I went out and mixed with other humans and know everyone will be dressed up and I’d like to look all fancy! Any suggestions??

If you don't like dresses and wouldn't wear it again. Would you wear something like this more than once ? I am short and a 14 and I am wearing a jumpsuit to a wedding in July. Feels miles better than a dress that will be just the wrong length.

I hadn’t considered one at all - I might order some and see. I usually just wear trousers and a top because my body is short and dresses tend to go in at the waist where my actual hips are!
