Red, blotchy face and swollen eyes after using face cream

I would like some suggestions for this please, used some Marks dream sleep cream that I had forgotten I had (probably old) although never had a problem with it before on Sunday evening and woke up to a very red and blotchy face on Monday but today my eyes were very swollen and the redness is the same.

I have big fluid filled bags under each eye too.
I took an anti histamine last night and this morning and have used a cold wet flannel over the eyes which has helped a little bit. My skin is not usually sensitive to anything but always very dry.

Just washed using plain water and no soap or moisturiser but am going to a wedding on Friday and would like some tips to try and help things if possible, what more could I do?

You probably need a higher dose of antihistamine.

What exactly have you taken, and in what dose?

Sympathies - I get this sort of reaction from time to time. I have Fexofenadine 180mg for it.

Thanks for your reply, I took Loratadine 40mg last night and again this morning, not sure if I could take any more than that.

I do also have the Fexofenadine that you mentioned , I wonder if that may be better?
