Shoe ideas for this dress?

I've just bought this and really like it. I haven't worn a dress for as long as l can remember. I mainly wear trainers and jeans and jumpsuits or dungarees. The dress is ankle length as I'm only 5'. I'm in my 60s and don't want to look ridiculous. I have white trainers but think that's too young a look. I find it almost impossible to find sandals that fit and are comfortable. If it was winter I'd wear boots but don't know what to wear with it now it's getting warmer ?

I'm in my 60s and I would wear that with white trainers, or with sandals, either Birkenstocks or DM sandals or something similarly chunky. Or flipflops.

I didn't think of a wedge . I like those hihello. I didn't know Birkenstock did anything like that. I can't wear DMs because they're too heavy. Or flipflops because they don't support my feet or ankles enough.
