Washing hair over bath

I have always wondered why my hair looks better (sleeker and straighter) having washed it over the bath as opposed to in the shower.

Any ideas?

You spend longer in the shower so rinse more of your conditioner out?

ArabeI · 05/06/2022 15:12

Not sure. It might be as @HelpIneedsomebodywontyouplease says

I rinsed over the bath this week, when doing an apple cider vinegar rinse, and my hair felt quite soft compared to using the shower.

Possibly the force of the shower damages the top layer of hair a bit? So over the side gets the underneath instead, plus unlikely to be power shower strength.

If you put your head forward I bet it’s because the underside bit gets washed and rinsed better than in the shower.

This. I turn my head upside down in the shower these days to rinse the conditioner from the underside. My hair is much better.

If I wash mine over the bath it's tangled as hell when I flip it back 🤣 no idea why but it drives me mad
