Is this dress suitable for a graduation?

My DS graduates this summer and I am looking for an outfit to wear to his graduation ceremony. I wondered about this dress as the colour and fit would really suit me however I wonder whether it is more of a summer garden party dress??
Thoughts welcome and also any ideas to dress it up/down as appropriate. I am completely clueless!

Graduation is essentially a summer garden party so I vote yes to that dress

I think it would be perfect.

It's lovely. Footwear wise, go for comfort! A wedge heel? Or at the very least take a spare pair of flats to change into. I go to a fair few graduations and everyone talks about how much their feet hurt!

You'll see all sorts of attire, from traditional African robes, to barely there dresses, to trousersuits, mother of the bride type stuff and everything in between.

Have a lovely day, you must be very proud!

Looks good to me and would be perfect for the uni where I work... we have no air con in a room holding hundreds of people. The guests who turn up in thick structured dresses and blazers absolutely swelter.

Gorgeous! Gutted it's sold out in my size.

Thanks all. I wasn't sure if I needed to go for a more mother of the bride/groom look which is really not my style so pleased that this has got the thumbs up. I will certainly go for comfort footwear-wise so thanks for that tip!

You've got your answer but i'm just adding to the feedback - perfect choice OP. Pretty, understated, easy to wear!

I work there and it's quite dressy , thin floaty material . Very popular !
