What jacket/cover up with this dress?

I like this dress to wear to my MIL wedding but think I need something to wear over the top in case it’s chilly etc. What style would work do you think?

easier for a formal occasion though.
Imo a slim-fitting cropped black jacket would work well.

Depends on what shoes you are wearing. I’ve seen this kind of navy work well with orange coloured bits for weddings - a wrap or a jacket and orange shoes and bag. Or a brightish pink could work too. Or possibly something sparkly and sparkly shoes.

Style-wise I would go for either a shorter/cropped jacket bolero thing or one of those scarf wrap things that you just drape over you
