Factor 50 face and neck suncream

Nsmum14 · 02/06/2022 15:14

I need to buy a new suncream, to use on my face mainly.
I have very sensitive skin, and usually don't put anything on it.
Any recommendations on a good one?

100% La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Hydrating Suncream SPF50. I spent many a miserable holiday with suncream irritating my skin and eyes, to the point where I could hardly keep my sensitive eyes open by lunch.

The suncream from La Roche-Posay, whilst a little pricey, has been amazing.

Described as Ideal for sensitive skin types, the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMUNE 400 Hydrating Cream offers SPF50 protection with exclusive MEXORYL400 filter technology, helping to defend against UVA, UVB and Ultra Long UVA rays*.

The formula is water, sweat and sand resistant for long-lasting, ultra-high protection. Designed with comfort in mind, the cream hydrates skin without feeling greasy.

Try La Roche Posay or Avene baby/childrens Factor 50 lotions.

Nivia solid stick

I really like the Nuxe one, I pick it up in Marks, its not terribly expensive.

ItsNotNormalLove · 02/06/2022 15:45

I second the La Roche-Posay Anthelios already mentioned.

Iwanttenofthose · 02/06/2022 15:51

Another vote for la Roche posay anthelios. I have very sensitive skin and rosacea, and it gives such a nice "glowy but not greasy" finish that I now wear it all year round and don't bother with make-up.

Howeverdoyouneedme · 02/06/2022 15:56

Another for La Roche. Swear by it.

Nsmum14 · 02/06/2022 20:28

Thanks everyone, really appreciate all the recommendations. Looks like La Roche is a favourite, will give it a try.

Altruist is exactly what you want. I use it every day. It's on Amazon and incredibly cheap and totally brilliant.

Nsmum14 · 02/06/2022 20:31

@countdowntonap i am like this too. Glad to hear you found a suncream that didn't irritate your skin and eyes.

I third it 😉

Workyticket · 02/06/2022 20:35

Stupid question alert. Do you use spf before or after moisturiser?

countdowntonap · 02/06/2022 20:57

@Nsmum14 at one point, on a bike ride around Formentera, I had to wipe my sore eyes with the clean underpants my husband had packed in his beach bag. Since discovering La Roche-Posay, I’ve not been in that awful situation again 😂

bought this as I couldn’t get hold of la Roche porsay and I think I might prefer it. LRP left greasy residue on my glasses and my phone if I’d spoken to someone and had it near my face. This one seems to soak in a bit more and my skin looks lovely. Cheaper too.

Blueuggboots · 02/06/2022 21:10

Ren do a great one.

Birdonatyre · 02/06/2022 23:01

I second Altruist, its half the price of LRP and it suits my DDs sensitive skin.
