Hi all,

Going on holiday in a few days and I need some face sun cream. Non greasy, non eye stingy! Good under make up.

Preferably one I can order online which arrive soon :)

Sorry should have said I use the over make up dry mist product

NamechangeFML · 01/06/2022 20:23

No7 protect perfect foundation is spf50

Another vote for the Nivea shine control, I've just started using it and really pleased with it. Plus it's a very reasonable price 😊

I really like the sound of the spray that goes over make up for top ups, that sounds great for when you're out all day.

Elmo311 · 02/06/2022 15:22

I have used the spray previously but it stings my eyes! I tried 3 of them and they all did it :(

OP, I wanted to say sprays make my eyes feel like they're on fire too but I wrote a massive essay before so I just about stopped myself there!...

Which one of these is fragrance free? Or can someone recommend one? Thanks!

All the ones I recommended are fragrance-free apart from the Garnier Super UV one. It doesn't have fragrance per se, but it has this smell of alcohol to it that bothered me enough to stop wearing it. I wore it for a long time actually so I don't know whether they changed the formula or it's just me.
The ones I didn't like, I don't exactly remember so I can't vouch for those anymore. If they make my eyes sting I just move on.

I can recommend Paula's Choice as a great general daytime moisturiser with SPF50. Good under make up and feels nice on the skin. My skin is sensitive and rosacea-prone but I've been using this since last summer and am about to re-buy.

I wanted to love the Altruist, but I found that my makeup pilled underneath it, even the 'face fluid' (something to do with my own skin I'm sure). I do use it on the rest of my body.
As with other posters I think Anthelios is great under makeup as is Biore Watery Essence.

RosyappleA · 02/06/2022 17:41

Ultrasun face lasts but is tough to spread. Avene for non tinted.
I swear by Heliocare, you don’t even need make up with the tinted one it just gives the most perfect looking skin and doesn’t budge even though I’m playing with my toddler all day. When I want less coverage i just add some of my moisturiser and it just looks better and better throughout the day

RuthW · 02/06/2022 17:45

Avon. Have used it every day for about 20 years.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 02/06/2022 18:05

LRP Anthelios under make and an aerosol spray for topping up.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 02/06/2022 18:08

La Roche posay fluid in SPF 50, then I keep a LRP spray in my bag for topping up in the day.

MrOllivander · 02/06/2022 18:17

The garnier ones were 1/3 off in boots when I went this week

MrsGannicus · 03/06/2022 08:13

Has anyone tried the BeautyPie Facial SPF before I give that a try?

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/06/2022 08:22

Garniers cruelty free now too. I’ve used them in the past when my skin wasn’t the oil slick it is now.
