Good quality eyeshadow palette

I would like to treat myself to a really good eyeshadow palette. I'm early 50's so no metallics or satins. I have fair hair and blue eyes and usually stick with neutral shades so I guess that's what I'm looking for. I currently don't use any one brand, I have 'Urban Decay' and 'Naked' palettes, both are pretty used up and are a few years old at this stage.

My budget is around €60, don't want to spend any more than that.

My favourite brands for eyeshadow are:

Natasha Denona
Viseart
Anastasia Beverly Hills
Huda Beauty

ND and Viseart I would think would be most suitable for 50s skin.

If you like UD and neutrals I'd go for the UD Naked Honey palette. There are some golden tones in there which will suit blue eyes. There's a good offer on the website atm.

some of them are satin/metallic though so you might rule it out because of that but I'd think again if I were you It used to be said older women should not wear those finishes because they emphasise wrinkles but I'm 60 and pretty much only wear Metallics and satins and haven't found that to be a problem. To me mattes are dull and aging, whereas more lustrous ones reflect the light and give a glow. Modern formulations are much softer and smoother than old style shadows so the creasing and gathering in wrinkles doesn't seem to happen. Even if it did I'd rather have a satin or metallic reflective wrinkle than a dull one!

So you want an all matte pallete?

I would also suggest natasha denona but there are shimmers and metallics.

Maybe look at Charlotte Tilbury supernudes? Or there's a quad called sophisticate or something like that.

Dior Quads. Timeless and classic. Or Chanel

@Thatswhyimacat I have never actually heard of Natasha Denona or Viseart so will look them up now, thank you.

@Everydaydayisaschoolday I do love UD so will look up the Honey palette. I had taken the traditional advise re satins/metallics to heart but you may well be correct and the advise is out-dated so will give it some thought and perhaps try a small cheaper palette to see if I look ok in a satin!

@WooNoodle I had actually looked at Charlotte Tilbury a couple of years ago and dismissed it as too expensive however funds are a little free-er now so it would be a good time for a treat.

@GonnaGetGoingReturns Both Dior and Chanel sounds very luxurious which is what I am looking for so will take a look at both.

Many thanks all, I have some browsing to do!

Nars suede palette is really good and versatile imo. There’s some more shimmery ones in the case, but they’re subtle and not glittery.
