Smart, long, wide leg trousers

… anybody seen any?

I thought about these from Hobbs but they’re shorter than I want. I got excited about these which popped up on Instagram because I could get a 34 inch inside leg which would be perfect. However I then saw some terrible reviews for quality and customer service for Saint and Sofia 😕

So looking for recommendations. Any ideas for smart long work wide leg work trousers up to around £150? Thank you

M&S have some really good wide leg trousers. Or if you want to blow the budget, try Me&Em.

Llamasally · 31/05/2022 22:29

I have been looking at the S&S ones too. I have two of another style of trouser from them and love them. Had no dealing with customer service to comment on that bit but I’d say don’t be put off.

Marks and Spencer have these high waisted crepe ones. They are a good weight, don't need ironing and go in the washing machine. They are so comfortable that I feel like they are work joggers but smart enough for board meetings etc.

Cuckoo48 · 31/05/2022 22:34

Can someone link the M&S ones?

ocelotka123 · 31/05/2022 22:38

How about these? Or other options from Cos

Thanks so much everyone!

@Inklingpot and @silentpool do you know the name or have a link for M&S trousers? It’s not somewhere I usually shop but definitely really keen if they have longer lengths and do love drapery crepe.

@ocelotka123 do you have these? How do they feel on? I wear lots of Cos but have chunky thighs and I’ve found Cos trousers to be tighter than other brands in the past although it was a different cut.

@Llamasally thats good to know -I don’t rule them out yet as they look just the job!

I have those. They're heavy, hang well and are long. I am 5ft 10 and think I have the regular!

MrOllivander · 31/05/2022 23:08

Ignore that! I do have them and they're the long length Grin just checked the code and label
V good quality

I got some nice ones from Boden. Never bought anything from
Boden before, but finally snapped!

I have these , they hang nicely and wash well . I'm 5ft 8 and wear the regular length.

Minoloso · 31/05/2022 23:32

These are the bomb. Come up nice & long even in regular length. No creasing, have pockets and hang well.

Ooooooh thanks very much everyone. I’m going to try the M&S ones (And hopefully saving myself £120!)

Yes, those are the M&S ones I mentioned (on the link). They really have been great for the price and I've had them a few years now - so they keep going too!

FridayiminlovewithRobertSmith · 11/06/2022 11:56

I bought the trousers and they’re great. I’m would never ever normally look at M&S but discovered some other nice stuff too.

I don’t know whether M&S has become nicer than it used to be or whether it’s crept up on me and I have become the target market! Maybe both 😂 But thanks to everyone for recommendations.
