Sunscreen recommendations

So about 20 years ago DH developed awful allergy symptoms on holiday. To the point that his face was so swollen one eye couldn't open. Come back to the UK all fine. Went away again, same thing. Multiple tests later it was discovered he is allergic to something in sunscreen. He was prescribed SunSense. Now we know we just buy it ourselves.

We've also used UltraSun without issue. As a family we all use the same one for ease, and it means he can help with reapplication on the kids.
The problem is they both cause breakouts, often leave a white layer, stain clothes, leave marks on the frames of my glasses, and damage lenses on sunglasses.
Can anyone recommend anything else that is still suitable but absorbs more easily and completely?

Altruist from Amazon. Developed by dermatologists, my DS with allergies has used this with no problem for a few years now.
