Body wash for kids

My DD has very very sensitive skin and seems to come out with a rash if she uses anything other than water. I'm trying to find her a body wash/face wash that she can use to take off sun cream. Water and a flannel don't seem to take the suncream off and then she gets a rash from having the suncream on over night (she can only use one brand of suncream without getting a rash). Any recommendations at all would really help. Thanks

Something from La Roche Posay?

Also you could try using a cleansing cream on a flannel rather than anything that foams up. CeraVe perhaps.

Aqueous cream

My kids have very sensitive skin and get on well with Child’s Farm body wash - I was surprised as it is quite perfumed, but it does seem gentle. And I think they do an even more gentle unscented baby body wash too.

Soap rather than body wash because body wash leaves a film on the skin.

I use the newborn, unscented child's farm on my 1yo. She seems to react to anything else! Works on suncream with a flannel.

I use Childs Farm fragrance-free baby wash, but when my skin was worse I used diprobase cream as a soap substitute.

Childs Farm is great. My son has eczema and it doesn’t have any adverse reaction. Oilatum also do a kid’s body wash, which is very gentle.

Thank you very much!

@malamander I would love to know what suncream you use? We’ve struggled to find anything gentle enough for ds!

I use child's farm body wash on my eczema prone daughter when her skin is ok but GP said to just use the aqueous cream in the bath when she's rashy.

DreamloverTealover · 01/06/2022 09:14

Child's farm is really good if you're looking to buy something but I'm wondering if your GP might be able to prescribe something? My daughter got an emollient for the bath for her skin.

My DD just uses Simple shower gel and facial wash and it seems to do the trick (and a lot cheaper than Child’s Farm).

Another vote for Child’s Farm. I use it myself too.

Another vote for child's farm
