Help with outfit for school reunion

Got to to go to his school reunion later in the summer, and it's not the local comp! Oh wise Mumsnetters with more style than me, what would you suggest for a size 16 middle aged women which looks the part but doesn't look too try hard? I have rose pink heeled sandals that are suitable and can't really afford new shoes as well, budget has some flexibility but £80 ish max

I wore this to a garden party at the weekend and it got some nice comments.

You don’t say whether it’s day or evening, casual or black tie!

And what do you mean by not the local comp? Traditional public school? Local independent day school? Grammar school? Not that the alumni of various schools might not all dress the same during the day - but if it’s black tie it’s a different matter.

With the budget you have might you consider hiring a dress for the day?
