Dupes for high end products and cheap gems

Hi everyone!

I'm a die hard beauty product addict and for many reasons I've been drastically cutting back spending and hoarding.

I'm trying to focus on performance of the products I buy and use. I don't want to keep being seduced by luxury packaging and airbrushed adverts. (I'll probably never completely ditch these things but you get the idea).

I've discovered an American YouTuber called Jen Phelps and she often does videos on great dupes/high quality products at the lower end of the price scale.

I'd love to know what are your cheap alternatives to high end products? The ones that perform really well? And are there any hidden gems you rely on?

Mine are:

Simple Hydrating cleansing oil - genuinely better than any others including DHC, Elemis, Body Shop Chamomile etc.

Elf wow brow - better than benefit and lasts longer

Aldi Pomegranate candles and soap - same as Jo Malone

Pantene Hair masks - leave as much shine as Kerastase (I interchange it with kerastase as I'm worried it's somehow bad for my hair)

Revlon moisturising lipsticks - very similar to the dior ones.

Barry M Black Cherry nail polish. I’ve bought leighton denny and Nails inc etc, but this is the best dark red and longest lasting. Plus it doesn’t go all odd if spf gets on it, the others lose their gloss with spf.

The aldi hot cloth cleansers are all I use now. I used to buy Liz Earle and the like, bit they've been replaced with lacura. Also aldi velvet rose perfume and the tonka been perfume. Absolutely the best jo malone dupes I've ever found. But of course like everything else aldi love to discontinue the best ones.

Watching as I would love a dupe for Clarins cleansing mouse. Lasts no time and expensive for what it is…

@Workinghardeveryday what is it you like about that cleanser? There are some brilliant budget cleansers for every skin type. My fave foaming is Hada Labo which is available from Yes Style. It's a very gentle hyaluronic acid cleanser which foams because of the pump, not because of foaming agents (which can be harsh on skin).

CeraVe have a foaming cleanser as well which is highly rated and I love the CeraVe hydrating cleanser as it's very gentle and very thorough.

Aldi comes up trumps very often.

Their Emma Hardie cleanser dupe is exquisite.
Their Benefit Porefessional dupe is better than the original.
Don't agree about their candles tho......they smell of absolutely nothing.

Oh yes that balm cleanser is amazing!

Aldi Rose Oil is amazing. I use it at night instead of a night cream and my skin has really improved. I do like their candles too although they're not as good as the really expensive alternatives, but at that price I don't mind.
