Shops in Buckinghamshire

Hello - want a nice day out shopping.

What is Beaconsfield like?

High Wycombe looks nice, the John Lewis appeals but it looks like it's away from the main shops?

Thanks!

There aren't enough clothes shops in Beaconsfield to make a day of it. The John Lewis is a drive from HW and the shops in High Wycombe are very average. We tend to shop at Westfield.

What about house and gift shops? Like Marlow but bigger?

Windsor? Not Bucks but very close.

High Wycombe is rubbish for shopping. It depends what you are after the shops in Marlow are good.

I wouldn't bother with Windsor for shops ATM. Very limited choices.

Westfield or Marlow is about right.

Good things are said about Bracknell, where Fenwick's went when they closed in Windsor.

Bicester outlet isn't a million miles from Beaconsfield, that's where I'd go (or Reading or Westfield's)

Like others have said there's not much in Beaconsfield. It's a nice small town with a very average high street.

High Wycombe is ok but John Lewis is out of town so a drive or a bus trip away from Wycombe centre.

Aylesbury probably has more but I don't know it well.

There's better shopping in Uxbridge which is about half an hour's drive from High Wycombe or Beaconsfield. Again though it's a fairly standard big shopping mall.

Beaconsfield has a nice high street but there’s not much fashion or homewares - Sweaty Betty, Mint Velvet, Whistles, and a few others.

Marlow is much better for both. Henley is ok as well. To be honest I’d jump on the train to Marylebone Station for Marylebone High St.

MySleevesMayBeGreen · 29/05/2022 22:48

Aylesbury doesn’t seem to have that much.
Windsor has Daniels at least!

Uxbridge is terrible for shopping now. We have pound shops, coffee shops, M&S and a big Primark, that about it. Westfield is so big its exhausting. Nowhere within an hours drive from me is in anyway a pleasant experience anymore.
