How to look fab in a week?!

So I have been feeling pretty horrible lately: feel really fat and flabby. We have a jubilee garden party to go to next Friday and I am dreading feeling like I look rubbish. I have a nice outfit to wear, but do you have any tips for feeling better in a week? Clearly I won’t be able to lose the extra stone but what would you do to feel better? Just want to feel like I look OK! Thanks!

Eat low carb for the week, do 16/8, lots of fresh veg and protein, drink lots of water - will help lose any bloat.

Maybe get your hair blow dried and nails done. Same with eyebrows Apply a good body cream night and morning for the week. A facial or home face mask earlier in the week and use a good moisturiser.

I would say start a diet, even if you haven’t got to your target, mentally you will feel good that you’ve grabbed the ball by the horns and you will certainly lose £2 in that first week.

Def get brows done. And nails

I hate to say it (because I never really believed it) but low carb works wonders for the skin and waistline. I was forced into such a diet due to gestational diabetes and not only did I lose the baby weight I'd gained until that point, my skin also looked amazing. Also get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water!

Have a nice big bath, shave, pluck your brows, body lotion, do your nails.

Don't eat in the evenings until the wedding.
Something I have recently started doing and I feel amazing every morning even when I've only lost a pound or 2!

I’d focus on what you can control - hair, skin, nails, drinking lots of water and sleeping well.

Gel nails, spray tan (skin colour dependent), hair cut/colour, nice lipstick and some control underwear

Lots and lots of water this week. Eat well like everyone has already said and while you won't loose weight you will feel less bloated and just better in yourself. A good face mask the sculpted by Amy one is amazing and and some tan depending obviously on your own skin tone. Nice tan always makes me look a billion times better. You don't need fake nails if that's not your thing but take a bit of time this week to give yourself a manicure and pedicure and a nice colour on fingers and toes can work wonders . Get your hair blow dried and your roots done if they need it. Also definitely get your eyebrows done. Remember since covid most people are in the same boat so please enjoy yourself next week.

Intermittent fasting, I've only been doing it a few days and my big bloated belly has definitely deflated, I use a fasting app and only eat within the timelines and only if I'm hungry, sensible choices of course.
Fake tan, glowy make up and made me feel much better in short space of time.

16/8, no white carbs, no alcohol, more exercise, water, daily multivitamin, green veg, salad, eyebrow shape, hair cut, new makeup item, whitening toothpaste, fake tan (if it suits).

Wear shapewear. Sainsbury's does some really good ones.

Greatoutdoors · 29/05/2022 09:14

A bit of a tan - either fake/spray or a couple of sunbed sessions. Always makes me feel a bit glowier.

Yoga (but proper stuff, not just gentle relaxation) everyday. I find after 3/4 days I stand straighter and my muscles feel more taut and feel better. But the improvement in posture makes me look better
