What are the key items that last over various summers, that you’re willing to splurge on?

I want to invest in key pieces/ sandals / hats that will form a key wardrobe for summer here and abroad.

Any advice or sharing your items is welcomed.

I've just come back from holiday (cruise) and I would say white trousers .

I bought white leggings and linen trousers (both M&S) to try them out but I would 100% invest in some good quality , non-see through washable straight legged trousers .
(And some jeans/jeggings )

If any suggestions then I'm all ears

I’ve found linen trousers great and get classic colours such as navy, white, black, khaki. They look good with sandals and are easy to dress up or down.

Some of my suggestions:
Quality sunglasses
A classic beach bag
A leather shopper bag
Leather gladiator type sandals
Summer hats - bucket, straw etc

I've ordered a cotton rich jumper and some white jeggings
Smarter than leggings but easier for me to wear than jeans .

Don't you all get too hot in trousers in summer? I couldn't wear jeans/jeggings/anything touching around my middle or my legs if the weather is more than about 23 degrees!
Loose floaty dresses for me!
