Can anyone recommend a really soft, loose-fitting comfy hoodie or sweatshirt?

Hoping MN can help me out. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment so spending a lot of time at home, in the garden etc. can’t really risk going to shops as immunity is very low, so I need to buy online. I’m struggling to concentrate a bit and have a bit of chemo fog I think.
I have discovered that I don’t own a single comfy hoodie and am hankering after one!
I just want something super soft, generous fit (pretty sure I’ve put on weight) , easy to get on and off but NOT one of those fleecy long ones that go down to your knees! Can anyone recommend anything?

I got a cracker off Amazon. Generously cut (ok, baggy) and really comfy. Jersey, not fleece. Hope you are getting better op.

Buy a men's one as it will be more roomy.

Matalan, Tesco, Asda etc will all sell budget friendly ones.

MrsBrodie · 28/05/2022 11:29

Do you want one with a zip? I have a very cosy one from Fatface with a zip but I did get it a while back.

Look after yourself x

MrsBrodie · 28/05/2022 11:32

M&S also have nice cotton soft touch ones here.

I have one if those and it's super comfy. Also not thick or binding like some can be!

I’ve just bought DD a mens cotton sweatshirt from M and S for 22.50

The womens version is over 50quid.

Thanks for these suggestions everyone. Really helpful and much appreciated.
I’m after something longish but not knee-length and have big hips /bum so am not sure men’s fit would work for me?
ElenaSt, Ilike the look of the Oliver Bonas one but prob a bit too short. And the Urbanoutfitters one looks god but at the moment I’m prob 16-18 size! Chemo is not good for losing weight…
Purplecatshopaholic, would you be able to link to it on Amazon or was it a while ago?
MrsBrodie, I too have a Fatface zip-up hoodie which I have loved in the past but it’s old and not as soft as I’d like.

I got a long line one from next.

The colours are a bit meh, but I have a hoodie from JL and it is very soft and light. Not restrictive round the thighs like a Mens fit one can be.

Purplecatshopaholic · 28/05/2022 11:59

Just checked mine out @Toughie. I got it last year so the exact one may not be available but there may be other similar ones? It’s defo not a ‘dress’, well not if you are my age anyway, lol - it’s thighish length at the front, longer at the back.

Can anyone recommend a really soft, loose-fitting comfy hoodie or sweatshirt?

How about a men’s hoodie from Uniqlo?

I've got a couple of nice ones from M&S although some of theirs aren't very soft inside. I also have some longline ones from next which are lovely and thick and really soft inside.

RedLeggedChuff · 28/05/2022 12:36

Some of the m&s zip up knit hoodies are really soft. I've been living in my navy blue one. Not massively long, kind of bum length but really very lightweight and soft

UndertheEagle · 28/05/2022 12:50

I bought a man's adidas one. It's really thick material and very soft.

GenialHarryGr0ut · 28/05/2022 13:03

bam stuff is lovely and soft and they have a good range of hoodies.

sleepwhenidie · 28/05/2022 13:05

Sweaty Betty escape fleece hoodie is gorgeous if you want to splash out - they are super soft, look great - lots of colours - and wash and wear brilliantly. Generous sizing. www.sweatybetty.com/shop/edits/the-colour-edit/escape-italian-fleece-hoody-SB6426_RegattaBlue.html?oldpid=SB6426_RegattaBlue

I got some Lushforest hoodie blanket wraps from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08BJ7YV7P/ref=cmswwremmapiiiAWGPYC9KK3G5E3G4TGJT?encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Some are lined so extra warm (add the word "Sherpa" to your search. I'm tall and the regular ones are just slow hip length.

Various prices between £24-£39 but there are currently price reductions. They wash really well in your machine.

Good luck. 🌹

IHeartMac · 28/05/2022 13:09

Scamp and Dude? I live in mine most of the year, they have mens sizes for a more relaxed fit and lovely colours/patterns.

Good luck for your treatment.

calmlakes · 28/05/2022 13:12

I like Abercrombie softAF hoodies.
They are as the name suggests very soft and nice quality.

2020nymph · 28/05/2022 13:14

Sorry to hear you're going through chemo. Flowers

I have sweaters from Hey Lola and Wild like her, both soft and the owners are super helpful.

Rosemarypots · 28/05/2022 13:21

Next do longline ones that might fit with what you're looking for.
