New to Sézane!

I've loved Sézane's look for ages but never got round to ordering anything, now really tempted to go for it (no particular reason, just strong New Clothes Lust), but wondering if there's anything I need to know? Do they tend to size small or large in reality compared to the information they give on the site? Do they do new customer discounts?

I'm really undecided about what to get but thinking probably a lower cost / easier to fit piece to start off with, as ideally I'd like to not have to deal with returning. So something with more flexibility of fit. I'm very, very open to suggestions if anyone has a Sézane piece they love! Equally, I don't want to get an accessory as I'm hoping to zero in on my correct Sézane size so I can also buy safely from Vinted.

I'm a UK size 16 hourglass, 5' 7', I love the look of sezane, but can anyone advise if I will fit into anything?

@Redleaftea people definitely wear it but my shape is nothing like your so I'd advise joking the Facebook group Sézane addicts uk and Sézane IRL to see real people wearing it

@Redleaftea have you noticed the new Sézane Instagram reel? It features a far from stick like model looking absolutely fabulous in a selection of new in clothes. You definitely should try some! They say they are size inclusive so it's nice they are using diverse models

@Redleaftea yes you will fit, especially the knitwear. It runs large. I am a size 10 and buy an S, but could easily fit an XS. Give it a try

@Redleaftea I am a size 18 hourglass and the same height as you. My first Sezane purchase, a Gaspard jumper, arrived today and I love it. I’d defaulted to the largest size available, assuming it would run small, but it’s actually quite generous and I might have been able to go down a size (although I hate buttons stretched over my bust so I will probably stick with the size I have).

The problem is, now I want more…

Gaspard are notorious for running huge! The XXS is too big for my taste and I'm s 8-10.

How about Barry, does it run large too? Just bought my first Barry in an s, wondering now...

If it's a preloved Barry, I think the old ones ran more true to size.

@Redleaftea seconding the advice to have a look at Sézane Addict group on Facebook, it's all in French, but there are many gorgeous ladies of all sizes posting their outfits and they look absolutely gorgeous in Sezane clothes

I second the fb groups, even for entertainment value, as the translate function fails in incredibly funny ways sometimes.

On another note, the weather is getting colder and I am wondering what type of coat to wear for lovely Sezane midi skirts...Leather jackets aren't cutting it anymore. Is everyone going for a knee high boots + slouchy mid-thigh belted coat combo?

Does anyone know if Sezane ever restock new release items. I wanted a Will jacket that they recently released but it sold out in a day 🙁 What are the chances of it coming back in?

@HiGunny they usually do they have a new in and restocks section. You can Alison WhatsApp or instagram message them. They are very helpful. Which Will was it the quilted one? I’ve considered that!

@Sooverthemill good to know. Yes the blue and check quilted one. Spent a couple of days thinking about it and missed my chance 😩 Will know for future releases!
